Adipex-P
Adipex-P is an appetite
suppressant and a central nervous system stimulant.
It stimulates the satiety centre in the hypothalamus and
limbic regions of the brain. Adipex-P works best when used
in combination with a low calorie diet, behavior modification
and regular exercise.
Adipex-P Dosage
- Follow the specific directions on the prescription label
- Swallow the capsules or tablets with a glass of water at least 30 minutes before eating
- Do not take an over dose
Side Effects of Adipex-P
- Exertion
- Depression
- Increased blood pressure
- Problems urinating
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Sweating
- Unpleasant taste
Drug Precautions
Notify the physician immediately if the patient become short of breath while doing normal activities. Do not use machinery or drive soon after taking Adipex-P. Over consumption of alcohol will increase the side effects of the drug.
Adipex-P Drug Interactions
The following medicines will interact with Adipex-P and cause severe side effects
- Linezolid
- Medicines for blood pressure
- Medicines for mental depression
- Medicines for diabetes
Note:
Keep Adipex-P out of the reach of children. Store the medicine at room temperature and throw away any medicine after the date has expired.
